So Blessed to be back spreading the word of God!

Greetings,

It’s hard to believe I finished my first 9 months (actually, 7 months) of mission in Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Thailand a little over 2 years ago. Returning from my Gap year World Race was very challenging.  Not long into our final 3 months in Thailand we were told one evening to pack our bags because we would be boarding a flight back to the United States the following morning.  Nobody really understood what was going on, we were just told there was a very bad virus spreading throughout the world.  Later we would realize the devastating effect of COVID-19.  We arrived at the Los Angeles airport in a state of complete chaos.  Our leaders tried to give us a debriefing session, but that was difficult with the implementation of social distancing.  I finally arrived in Memphis where my mom picked me up.  As I walked through a very deserted airport with one of my fellow racers I wondered once again what exactly was happening.  I said a quick goodbye to the other racer and we on our way home.  You see, I went from living in community with 50 other racers and living in very primitive conditions.  Now, I am in a home with just my mom for a couple days until my dad came home from a work trip.  Walking into the house where I had grown up was comforting but also difficult.  How was I standing in a home where I had everything I needed and wanted?  I thought of the many families I had met throughout my journey and the simple, yet difficult conditions they were living in.  I thought a lot of the kids and workers at the orphanage in Ethiopia.  I wanted to return to Ethiopia so badly I could hardly stand it.  After about 3 weeks of not being able to visit friends or family and the country basically being shut down, I was losing my mind.  We couldn’t even go to church and worship with our congregation.  I was invited by my aunt to come stay with her in Colorado for a while.  We could at least ride bikes on the trails and have a beautiful view of the mountains.  I have made it out here for 2 years and have had some good times, some trying times and some very low times.  I have tried to find my place and figure out where I belong. I’ve prayed with so many and witnessed God’s miracles. I have seen the Lord work in incredible ways, and God is calling for me to serve again!

In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus tells his followers, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.”

Through prayer, the Lord once again, has opened an unimaginable door, and I have been selected for an awesome opportunity to travel the world once again and further His kingdom. This is all to say that in January 2023 I will leave for 11 months of mission work with Adventures in Mission, a discipleship, and missions ministry.  The mission of Adventures is to deeply connect people to Jesus and his movement.  The World Race was founded in 2005.  The WR provides trained teams of young adults with the opportunity to engage in 11 international mission contexts in 11 months using an experiential, missional discipleship model.  Yes, I will attend a training camp in Gainesville, Georgia before leaving on the trip.

The World Race is an extension of the previous mission trip I participated in 2019-2020. Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to spread the Gospel, participate in plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution because of human trafficking. We will bring hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations. For me specifically, my mission field will be the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Romania, Albania, Eswatini (Africa), and South Africa.

Rejoining my mission team has been a year-long dream for me, but I cannot do this on my own. To go where God leads and pursue relationships with people around the world, telling them about the greatest love story of all, I need your support. The greatest support I could ever receive is that of prayer. Would you consider walking alongside me through this next season in prayer that my squad and I will have open minds and be willing to step out of our comfort zone to bring light to some of the darkest parts of the world? It is our desire to be nothing more than the hands and feet of Jesus to every person we encounter.

In addition to prayer support, I am needing to raise $18,000 which will cover the cost of all expenses and the materials needed to help spread the word of God. Please prayerfully consider supporting me during my journey. Any amount that you feel led to donate will help! All donations are tax deductible.

The best way to donate is:
